In the midst of processing FAFSAs and making corrections, schools are facing a couple of important deadlines early this fall.
Both the Gainful Employment/Financial Value Transparency report and the FISAP are due on October 1.
In a July 31 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education reminded schools about the availability of the 2025-26 FISAP on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website. The deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, October 1.
This latest Electronic Announcement includes a number of general reporting reminders. For schools with a Federal Perkins Loan portfolio, several of the reminders address the Perkins Loan program.
In an earlier Electronic Announcement published in May, the Department outlined updates to the FISAP and instructions and included links to the final 2025–26 FISAP Form, Instructions, and Desk Reference documents.
