Financial aid professionals may get answers to the many questions about implementation of new regulations with some upcoming training sessions.
Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced on July 31 that they are continuing to offer new webinars and virtual office hours during August for the financial aid community, allowing them to receive answers to questions and updates on key topics related to the implementation of the new regulations stemming from last year’s budget reconciliation bill. Many of the regulations went into effect to July 1, 2026, but are being implemented now as the 2026-27 academic year gets underway.
No registration is required for FSA training sessions, either the live Zoom webinar or the two virtual office hours. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 10,000 attendees.

Implementation of New Loan Limits and Interim Exception for Continuing Students

Virtual office hours will be offered on a biweekly basis during August. Links to register for the virtual office hour sessions are included below, with each session accommodating up to 10,000 participants.
Approximately one week after each event, recordings and transcripts of the webinars and virtual office hour sessions will be available on the FSA Training Center.
