Financial aid professionals and other FSA partners will soon see more changes to FSA Partner Connect – the digital front door and one-stop-shop for Federal Student Aid.
A May 8 Electronic Announcement stated that starting in July 2025, FSA Partner Connect will become the primary enrollment and user management service for FSA. The Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) enrollment functionality will be added, which will result in the retirement of the SAIG website. As part of the transition, the SAIG Enrollment website will be unavailable to users after June 12, 2025.
Current users don’t need to do anything to maintain their current access or enrollment as they will continue to access FSA systems and services and will exchange data over the SAIG as usual.
New or updated enrollments need to refer to the “SAIG Enrollment Processing Impacts During Transition Period” section of the Electronic Announcement to learn more about required actions needed by June 12 as users will not be able to sign in to the SAIG Enrollment website after that date.
The new FSA Partner Connection features will include:
- SAIG Enrollment for Accessing FSA Systems and Services and for Exchanging Data – Partners will complete all enrollment actions for accessing and exchanging data with FSA services and systems.
- Electronic Signatures – This will eliminate the need for paper signature forms to be sent through the mail or as a scanned document via email. Anything requiring a signature will be completed via an electronic signature process.
- Online Submission for Foreign Schools – Foreign schools will be able to enroll or make updates through FSA Partner Connect.
Upcoming training opportunities on these new features will be announced in June and will be posted on the Knowledge Center, as well as additional Electronic Announcements.
