Financial aid professionals can look to the FSA Training Center for a variety of training needs, whether that is a refresher course, comprehensive training, or short and focused training.
In addition to the 2026-27 Learning Tracks and Training Courses that were launched this summer, FSA has made annual updates and enhancements to all topics and added new interactive learning activities to 25 courses.
New staff or experienced staff wanting a refresher course can complete the FSA Basic Training for New Staff. The course consists of 12 modules that provide a comprehensive understanding of Title IV aid administration. The self-paced training can be completed in its entirety or by selecting the modules of interest based on familiarity with the material.
The FSA Training Center also offers over 30 learning tracks in nine categories. A certificate of completion is earned for each track completed. Some of the “back to basics” tracks include:
- The FAFSA Process
- Student Eligibility
- Packaging Concepts
- Overawards
- Return of Title IV Funds
- School Eligibility
