If you plan to take the ACT test this spring, it’s time to get prepared.

The regular registration deadline for the April 5 test date is February 28. After that date, late fees apply but you can still register until March 16.

For students who plan to take the test on April 5, the photo deadline is March 28.

Uploading a photo for identification and test security purposes is required. If a student fails to upload a photo, they will be turned away from taking the test on their registered date.

ACT requires students to upload a recent photo. The photo will appear on the student’s ticket into the ACT test location and on the score report that is sent to the high school. Students won’t be able to print a ticket until their photo has been uploaded.

The photo must meet certain requirements, such as being a clear image with only the student, who will be taking the test, in the photo. More information about the requirements is available on the ACT website.

Students who need an exemption should contact ACT at 319-337-1270 to discuss the situation.
