Labor Day holiday closings

The Department of Education is among the federal offices closed for the Labor Day federal holiday on Monday, September 1.

The August 28 announcement states that the Federal Student Aid (FSA) offices and contact centers will be closed on September 1. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.

The following additional information was provided in the announcement:

FPS – The FAFSA Processing System will accept data on Monday, September 1, but will not process data or send ISIRs until Tuesday, September 2.

COD System – COD will accept and process data and send back responses/acknowledgements on Monday, September 1. Schools will not, however, be able to receive any federal funds on September 2. Any requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, September 2.

Mapping Your Future offices will also be closed on Monday, September 1, but the website will still be available. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 2.
