
Financial aid professionals interested in applying for Federal Pell Grant program eligibility for certain workforce programs can attend training on how to use the E-App to complete the process.
The Department of Education stated In a June 25 Electronic Announcement that starting July 1, 2026, schools can use the E-App in FSA Partner Connect to apply for Federal Pell Grant Program eligibility for certain workforce programs. To qualify for Workforce Pell, the programs must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Higher Education Act (HEA) and the Workforce Pell final regulations.
A live, instructor-led webinar, along with virtual office hours and self-paced training materials will be offered to help schools understand the new features in the E-App.
Details on the live webinar, virtual office hours, and self-paced training include:
- Live Webinar – Tuesday, July 7 from 1:00-2:15 p.m. (Eastern)
- Virtual Office Hours – Thursday, July 9 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. (Eastern) and Thursday, July 16 from 1:000-2:00 p.m. (Eastern)
- Self-Paced Training – Later in July, self-paced training materials and a webinar recording will be available in the FSA Training Center. The Department will announce when these materials are available.
No registration is required for the live Zoom webinar or the two virtual office hours. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 10,000 attendees. Attendees can ask questions during the session by typing them into the Q&A feature. Links to join the webinar and virtual office hours are included in the announcement.
