With the beginning of the new year, financial aid professionals and others who use the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) now have some new tools for using the system.
The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) has announced the availability of the updated NSLDS Transfer Student Monitoring & Financial Aid History User Guide and Record Layouts. A PDF version of the document is also included in the announcement.
The January 2026 update replaces the January 2025 version and provides step-by-step instructions for using Transfer Student Monitoring (TSM) online, how to request Financial Aid History (FAH), and detailed information about the TSM/FAH batch process.
