Understanding Take-Home Pay

Anyone who works in financial aid knows there’s always more to learn.

Training opportunities can be an invaluable resource to financial aid professionals.

The Federal Student Aid Training Center has announced two new training tracks, including:

Prison Education Programs Learning Track – This track has been updated with new guidance and outlines the restoration of Federal Pell Grant eligibility for confined or incarcerated individuals enrolled in an eligible prison education program (PEP). Seven mini courses cover the PEP basics and responsibilities of schools, correctional facilities, accreditors, and oversight agencies. Participants can enroll at the FSA Training Center.

Finding Answers Using FSA Resources Learning Track – New and seasoned financial aid professionals can learn about the various FSA resources and how to use them to find answers to financial aid questions. Participants can take any or all of the eight mini courses that include video demonstrations focusing on the FSA Handbook, the Code of Federal Regulations, or FSA operational guides and technical references. Participants can enroll at the FSA Training Center.
