Schools now have a report available to help them in performing outreach to remind former students of their loan repayment obligations, particularly those who are delinquent on one or more of their student loans.

In a June 9 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education announced that they have the Delinquent Borrower Report (DELQ01) available on the NSLDS Professional Access website. The report includes demographic information, loan details, and is available in several different formats.

To request the report:

  • Go to NSLDS Professional Access website
  • Access the NSLDS Reports Tool (located under the Reports tab)
  • Navigate to the Content Folder > Team content folder > NSLDS Folder > Loan & Grant Folder > DELQ01 Delinquent Borrower Report

The report can be requested for the school’s six-digit OPEID or by entering the eight-digit OPEID to receive data for a specific location. Additional parameters are available to narrow the report to a specific Federal Loan Servicer Code, a cohort year, or one or more periods for days delinquent.

In a May 5 Electronic Announcement, the Department requested that schools contact all borrowers who ceased enrollment at the school since January 1, 2020 and remind them of their obligation to repay their student loans, review information about repayment options at StudentAid.gov, and request that they log into StudentAid.gov to update their profile with their current contact information.
