Accurately completing the FISAP is important and those responsible for it can complete an online, self-paced training course.

The Department announced that the 2025-26 FISAP course is now available on the FSA Training Center to assist with completing the FISAP for 2023-24 and Application to Participate for 2025-26. The FISAP, available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website, must be submitted by October 1, 2024.

The training covers the sections of the FISAP and commonly made errors when completing the form. Financial aid and business office staff who are responsible for the FISAP, as well as anyone new to the form, are encouraged to view the online course.

To access the training:

  • Log in to the FSA Training Center with your username and password
  • Select “Training Courses” from the main menu
  • Choose “FISAP Training” from the drop-down menu
  • Select “Start Here” to launch the course

Anyone without a username and password for the FSA Training Center, should choose “Create new account” (at the bottom of the log-in page) and follow the instructions. Questions about the FISAP Training course can be directed to helpdesk.fsatraining@ed.gov.
