Outage alert for StudentAid.gov on June 27-28

The StudentAid.gov website will be unavailable June 27-28, 2026.

Federal Student Aid announced that they will be performing extended maintenance to the StudentAid.gov site on June 27-28. Beginning on Saturday, June 27 at 4 p.m. (Eastern) until approximately 1 p.m. (Eastern) on Sunday, June 28, the site will be unavailable. During the outage, users will be unable to log in, create an account, or access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the income-driven repayment application.  

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will also perform maintenance on Saturday, June 27 from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Eastern), which will impact the automated transfer of tax information on StudentAid.gov. From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. users will need to manually enter federal tax information.
