Schools interested in attending the upcoming Federal Student Aid (FSA) Conference need to act by January 23 to express interest in attending.
On January 14, FSA announced that due to the limited number of seats at the conference site, they will hold a lottery if interest exceeds the number of seats available. The 2026 conference will be held March 4-6 in Washington, D.C.
Schools interested in attending the in-person conference must have one representative from the school complete the lottery submission form by January 23. Duplicate entries will not be accepted as only one entry is allowed per school.
By submitting the form, the school is letting FSA know they are interested in attending. It doesn’t guarantee a spot at the conference. All sessions will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.
If interest is greater than available space, FSA will conduct a lottery to randomly select schools to attend.
Both selected and non-selected schools will be notified on or before January 30 at the email address provided on the lottery submission form. A confirmation email will be sent to selected schools with the subject line, “YOU ARE IN! CONFERENCE ADMISSION CONFIRMATION” and will confirm the school’s registration. Non-selected schools will receive an email with the subject line, “UPDATE ON YOUR LOTTERY SUBMISSION.”
The confirmation email will include instructions for selected schools that need to decline their spot and for schools that need to change the name of the person who will attend the conference. A school that needs to decline should notify FSA as soon as possible so the spot can be offered to another school.
The Conference FAQs section of the FSA Training Conference website includes more information about the conference, the lottery, and registration. Schools should monitor the Knowledge Center website and FSA Training Conference Home for additional information.
Questions about registration should be sent to 2026fsatcregistration@ed.gov. Additional questions about the conference should be sent to FSAConferences@ed.gov.
