While financial aid professionals are in the midst of processing FAFSAs and making corrections for the upcoming school year, the deadline for another important responsibility is looming.
In a July 21 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education reminded schools about the availability of the 2026-27 FISAP on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website. The deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, October 1.
Included in the Electronic Announcement are a number of general reporting reminders. For schools with a Federal Perkins Loan portfolio, several of the reminders address the Perkins Loan program.
In an earlier Electronic Announcement published in April, the Department outlined updates to the FISAP and instructions and included links to the final 2025–26 FISAP Form, Instructions, and Desk Reference and 2026–27 Technical Reference documents.
