
Scholarships are a wise investment in a student’s educational career – both for the organization granting the scholarship and the student applying for funds.
For students, not only does a scholarship award look great on a resume, it can also reduce the amount of money a student has to borrow to pay for their education.
Some scholarships students may want to consider applying for include:
SNC STEM Scholarship – Eligible students pursing degrees in STEM-related fields can apply for the SNC STEM Scholarship, which includes five $7,500 awards. Each recipient will be matched with an SNC mentor wo will support them during their educational journey. Deadline: January 13
Equitable Excellence Scholarship – Equitable will award 100 $5,000 annual scholarships that are renewable for up to four years for a total of $20,000 per recipient. High school seniors with financial need who plan to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year college or university can apply. Deadline: January 15
Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship – High school seniors planning to pursue a major in computer science or other computer science related field of study can earn up to $40,000 for college, plus paid internship opportunities at Amazon. Deadline: January 15
Carl C. Yount Charitable Trust – Students planning to pursue a degree in theatrical arts or music, medical courses, orthopedics or research in orthopedic surgery and allied fields can apply for a $5,000 scholarship. Up to two awards will be made for students planning to enroll full-time as an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical college for the entire upcoming academic year. While nonrenewable, students may reapply each year that they meet eligibility requirements. Deadline: January 20
Progress of Ideas Scholarship – This $5,000 scholarship is for college sophomores, juniors, or seniors (who have earned at least 36 credit hours at the time of application deadline) who are pursuing their initial bachelor’s degree or enrolling in graduate school in the fall of 2026. Areas of study include economics, environmental science, environmental studies, finance or real estate, history, geography, philosophy, political science, public administration, public policy, sociology, urban analytics, and urban studies. Deadline: January 29
J.W. Pepper 150th Anniversary Scholarship – Students planning to pursue a music education degree and are a current or former member, in good standing, of a high school music programs such as band, orchestra, or choir are eligible to apply for this $10,000 scholarship. Up to three scholarships will be awarded and are one-time only. Deadline: January 29
PGA Works John & Tamara Lundgren Scholars – High school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates planning to enroll in fulltime undergraduate study at one of the 17 accredited PGA Golf Management Universities pursuing a PGA Golf Management degree for the entire 2026-2027 academic year and plan to pursue PGA of America Membership are eligible to apply for this $8,000 scholarship. Up to 20 awards will be made with one award granted to the top candidate interested or experienced in working internationally. Deadline: February 6
Scholarships available to students from select states or metropolitan areas include:
Gryphon Scholarship – High school seniors who will be graduating or have graduated from a school located in select metropolitan areas in CA, FL, IL, NC, and NY with demonstrated financial need are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Plans must include enrolling full-time at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year. Preference will be given to students pursuing majors in business, finance, economics, or accounting. An award of at least $2,500 will be given with up to five awards granted. Deadline: January 9
Collegium Pharmaceutical Scholarship – The Collegium Pharmaceutical Scholarship Program will award two full-ride scholarships to Massachusetts-based high school seniors who plan on majoring in a STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field, including healthcare or medical fields. Deadline: January 15
Seattle Foundation Scholarships – Students living in the Pacific Northwest and planning to pursue a degree at a college or technical college are eligible to apply for the Seattle Foundation Scholarships. More than 25 students will be awarded funding of up to $5,000. Deadline: February 9
James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship – Missouri residents planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college are eligible to apply for this renewable, full-tuition award that includes a $2,000 stipend for books and supplies. Deadline: February 23
