Two factors for a successful financial future
A good education and no debt – two factors that ensure young adults start their future off on the right foot financially.
Because it’s financial literacy month and because the FAFSA is a critical first step to pursuing postsecondary education, students and parents should know it is not too late to complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
As we celebrate financial literacy month, it’s a good time to remind anyone considering postsecondary education to complete the FAFSA. To ensure that the financial aid industry has the latest materials, the Department of Education has updated its FAFSA preview presentation.
In an April 13 update to an earlier Electronic Announcement, Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced changes to the 2026-27 FAFSA Preview Presentation, reflecting recent changes to the FAFSA form.
The changes include an improved college search feature, a new “sign and submit” process, new orientation slides for each scenario in the presentation, and reordered scenarios based on user feedback.
The presentation can be accessed in these formats:
2026–27 FAFSA Preview Presentation in PPT Format
2026–27 FAFSA Preview Presentation in PDF Format
Students and parents needing assistance with the FAFSA can contact Mapping Your Future at 1-800-374-4072 or feedback@mappingyourfuture.org.
After all, the FAFSA is the first step to ensuring that they receive financial aid – enabling them to get a good education and to do so with as little debt as possible.
Mapping Your Future is celebrating Financial Literacy Month and encourages you to use and share some of the financial tools on our website.
