Your suggestions are needed
You probably have a lot to share when it comes to giving recommendations about the 2024-25 FAFSA.
However, the Department is asking specific questions aimed at improving the 2025-26 experience for students, families, and institutions. A Request for Information (RFI) was posted in today’s Federal Register.
In summary, the Department would like to know your suggestions for effective communications and resources, what FAFSA questions need more guidance, the populations that could benefit the most from additional support materials, and what your institution has found to be the most effective in supporting students. In addition, they would like to know what informational resources would be most helpful to financial aid professionals and what topics should be covered in those resources.
If you have some thoughts, be sure to submit them by the deadline of September 13. After all, your suggestions may be key to a better 2025-26 FAFSA experience.
