Summary of Budget Reconciliation Changes for Students and Parents

When it comes to paying for college, many students and parents face uncertainty.

Will there be enough money and is this college the right decision?

Along with those questions, throw in some future changes with the budget reconciliation bill and it could be enough to cause some students and parents to question any educational plans.

While the budget reconciliation bill passed by Congress and signed by the President last week may change how students and parents fund college, it’s important to understand these changes are manageable. Most importantly, it should not deter any student from pursuing their college and career dreams.

To help communicate this message and to provide a summary of how the changes impact students, Mapping Your Future created a “Students and Parents After Budget Reconciliation” flyer. Financial aid professionals can add their school’s logo to the flyer and share it with students and families.

In addition to the impact on students and parents, the reconciliation bill certainly creates some challenges for colleges and universities.

As you deal with those challenges for your institution, Mapping Your Future recognizes and thanks you for the work you do to make sure students remain certain about the future.
