Tip of the Week
November is National Scholarship Month
Scholarships play a key role in reducing student debt and increasing access to higher education. And while always important, scholarships will become increasingly so as new federal student loan limitations are implemented in 2026.
November is “National Scholarship Month” – a national campaign created and led by the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) to raise awareness of the important role that scholarships play in higher education.
Paying for college is expensive and scholarships can help ease the financial burden for students and families.
To help students be successful in their scholarship search, Mapping Your Future has a number of resources available:
- Ten Tips for Scholarship Success – This flyer includes a list of scholarship search engines and tips to avoid scams.
- Scholarship Tracking Sheet – This spreadsheet will help keep students organized during and after their scholarship search process.
- Winning Scholarship Strategies – This flyer will help students effectively search and apply for scholarships.
We encourage you to share these resources with your students, especially those who could use a little help in paying for college.
