Despite the importance of students and parents completing a renewal FAFSA, it’s understandable that because of their busy lives, they still sometimes need a reminder to complete the form.
In an April 23 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education announced that between April 14 and 22 they emailed 2024-25 FAFSA filers (and parents of dependent 2024-25 filers) who have not yet submitted a 2025-26 FAFSA.
The campaign is designed to remind students (and parents) to renew their 2025-26 FAFSA at fafsa.gov as soon as possible if they plan to attend school between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
The email text for the “2025-26 FAFSA Spring Renewal Email Campaign” is included in an attachment to the article. Schools and other community partners are encouraged to use this language when creating their own communications.
