Breaking News – FAFSA Central to feature latest updates
Anyone interested in what’s happening with the FAFSA now has a new virtual “woodstove” of sorts to gather around and get the latest news.
The Department of Education recently launched FAFSA Central, a hub for regular updates for the community about the FAFSA form, beta testing, availability of support resources, submission metrics, and more.
The Department also recently announced the launch of the first phase of the 2026-27 beta testing in Arizona, California, Florida, Mississippi, and Washington, D.C., which continues through August 15.
When Beta 2 opens, the Department will post an update at FAFSA Central. Beta 2 will allow any user to request access to the 2026-27 FAFSA beta.
