Schools that still need to transmit Federal Pell Grant records for the 2024-25 award year will want to make note of an upcoming deadline.
In a September 12 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education reminds schools that the final deadline for electronically transmitting 2024-25 award year Pell Grant records is Tuesday, September 30.
All actual disbursements with a disbursement date of September 30, 2025 through October 1, 2025, must be received and accepted by COD no later than 8 a.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, September 30. This will then generate the appropriate funding level increase prior to the G5 shutdown. Accepted disbursements after the 8 a.m. deadline will be funded once G5 reopens on October 1.
The following additional information about the processing deadline is included in the announcement:
- Tools to Assist with Reconciliation Prior to Sept. 30, 2025
- Closeout Confirmation and Reopen Process
- Acceptance and Rejection of 2024–25 Award Year Data After Sept. 30, 2025
- Requesting Extended Processing for 2024–25 Award Year
