
The Department of Education is among the federal offices closed for the Juneteenth National Independence Day federal holiday on Friday, June 19.
The June 11 announcement states that the Federal Student Aid (FSA) processors and contact centers will be closed on June 19. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.
The following additional information was provided in the announcement:
FPS -The FAFSA Processing System (FPS) will accept data on Friday, June 19, but will not process data or send Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Monday, June 22.
COD System -The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System will accept and process data and send back responses/acknowledgments on Friday, June 19. Schools will not, however, be able to receive any federal funds on June 19. Any requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Monday, June 22.
