Schools can once again respond to Borrower Defense to Repayment claims with the restoration of the system functionality.
And to make up for the time lost during the outage, the Department has extended due dates on some cases by a week.
In an October 9 update to an earlier Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education (the Department) announced that an issue has been resolved in the Borrower Defense to Repayment system and it is once again available for schools.
To account for the period during which schools could not access borrower defense functionality, the Department has extended the due date by seven calendar days for each case with a pending response. Extended due dates will be displayed in the school cases in FSA Partner Connect.
