Financial aid professionals will soon have some training resources available to help them understand and transition to FSA Partner Connect for enrollment and user management services.
The transition comes with the retirement this month of the Student Aid Information Gateway website.
In a June 12 Electronic Announcement, Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced that they will have a series of live, instructor-led webinars and other training resources available to cover the new features and functionality of FSA Partner Connect, which will be implemented in July 2025.
FSA Partner Connect is going to be the primary enrollment and user management service for FSA, including the addition of Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) enrollment functionality as the current SAIG Enrollment website will be retired.
A series of webinars will be presented in June and July and require no registration as each session can accommodate up to 10,000 attendees. A Q&A session will follow each presentation.
The webinars, available via Microsoft Teams, include:
- Account Access Management Center Overview – June 30at 1–2:30 p.m. (Eastern Time)
- Enrollment and Management for Systems and Services – July 2 at 1–2:30 p.m. (Eastern Time)
- My Account and Access Management – July 9 at 1–2 p.m. (Eastern Time)
The Electronic Announcement provides additional information on each webinar, the link to the webinar, and instructions for adding calendar reminders.
In July, FSA will also offer self-paced training that will walk users through various processes. When these resources are available in the FSA Training Center, the original Electronic Announcement will be updated. Once available, they can be accessed by selecting “Systems Training” from the main menu, choosing “FSA Partner Connect” from the drop-down menu, and then selecting the “Partner” icon.
