While the deadline to submit the next FISAP is several months away, financial aid administrators can get a head start on some planning for it.
In an April 22 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education announced that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the 2024-25 Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate for 2026–27 (FISAP).
The FISAP Form, Instructions, and Desk Reference have been posted to the Knowledge Center and the online FISAP will be made available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website by August 1.
The Department has also posted the 2026–27 FISAP Technical Reference that provides technical specifications and record layouts for schools or other organizations.
Users are reminded to check their access to FISAP on the Web to ensure being able to enter data before they need to file the FISAP.
Also outlined in the announcement are some changes to the FISAP and changes to the FISAP instructions.
