
The Department of Education is among the federal offices that will be closed for the Independence Day federal holiday on Friday, July 4.
The June 24 Electronic Announcement states that the Federal Student Aid (FSA) processors and contact centers will be closed on July 4. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.
The FAFSA Processing System (FPS) will accept data on Friday, July 4, but will not process data or send 2024-25 and 2025-26 Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Monday, July 7.
The COD System will accept and process data and send back responses/acknowledgements on Friday, July 4. Schools will not, however, be able to receive any federal funds on July 4. Any requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Monday, July 7.
Mapping Your Future offices will also be closed on Friday, July 4, but the website will still be available. Offices will reopen on Monday, July 7.
