Memorial Day holiday closings

The Department of Education is among the federal offices closed for the Memorial Day federal holiday on Monday, May 26.

The May 19 Electronic Announcement states that the Federal Student Aid (FSA) processors and contact centers will be closed on May 26. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.

The FAFSA Processing System (FPS) will accept data on Monday, May 26, but will not process data or send 2024-25 and 2025-26 Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Tuesday, May 27.

The COD System will accept and process data and send back responses/acknowledgements on Monday, May 26. Schools will not, however, be able to receive any federal funds on May 26. Any requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, May 27.

Mapping Your Future offices will also be closed on Monday, May 26, but the website will still be available. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 27.
